Why has it taken Barack Obama so long to finally figure out the Republicans in Congress will not help him?

The Republicans in the U.S. Senate are not going to p any stimulus package unless it direct benefits "Wall Street", Foreign Banks, the "Stock Market" Executives bonus pay" etc.....etc...etc....! Surely, President Obama did not believe the Republicans have abandon their base of support, America's wealthiest, the elite among the mes! Barack Obama cannot be that lame-brained as to fall into that trap that somehow the Republicans will put aside party partisan politics and somehow do something good to benefit average Americans in need, since jobs are going and the economy is on the brink of completely tanking? Come on, how foolish can one be? A leopard never loses its "Spots"! Republicans are what they are...they look out for the ultra-wealthy's interest & big business! Why would they help a Democratic president do something good and thus be able to take credit and get re-elected in 2012? The Republicans agenda in the U.S. Congress is "G R I D L O C K !!!!!!!!! Nothing gets accomplished as they drag their feet! Thus no credit is given to this administration. Simple as that! Barack Obama will need to get ugly and point this out and have the American clean out the Senate in Mid-term elections targeting all the Republicans up for re-election! Do not fall for the conservative approach as thye call it, George W. Bush spent taxpayer money like money grew on trees and he owned the largest groves! George W. Bush spent more money that was foolishly lost, than the liberals ever dreamed of spending! there was not one drop of conservative blood in George W. Bush, he was nothing more than a reckless spender his whole two-terms and because of that, here we are today! You cannot fight wars and cut taxes, only someone swimming in their own ignorance would say they can!
