Does this seem fair or right to you?

I was on skype and i thought I signed out but i only exited out. My dad comes home and is sitting on the couch right next to me. I glance at the computer and see that he is reading all the IMs betwen my ex and myself from over 6 months ago. The IMs did contain some ual content. I tell him to close it and he says "No it's my laptop. I can look at what I want to." he then goes ahead and begins to fight with me (keep in mind I am a 16 year old girl) he is a 200 something pound man. He then takes my phone, ipod, and camera. i told him he shouldnt have been looking at my stuff. He says because he is the father he can look at what he wants to. he then tells me that because i am not 18 i dont deserve any privacy. he never attempts to talk to me about anything he just tries to snoop around in my stuff secretly. How many of you think what he did was right and what are your thoughts on this?
