Runescape Report Question?

I have reported somone for typing join there clan. They typed realy fast exactly, no typos real fast 10 times, and spammed. I reported them, for disruptive behavior. It wasn't in a real populated area, but there were about 12 people. Did I false report them, or did i do the right thing? Will I be contacted and updated after they receive my report?
