Kinda of a first timer writing a story...I would like you know what you think?

Kinda abstract. You don't really tell me what she is feeling. When you say teetering emotions, I don't know what those emotions are. The best way to pull a reader into a scene is to use concrete details and the five senses. I want to see, taste, smell, touch and hear the details.
